Shooting interviews outside of Al Faw Palace. The Palace is about 5 kilometers from the Green Zone, which is now referred to as the International Zone or IZ. The palace was used as the headquarters for the Multi-National Force - Iraq (MNF-I), and Multi-National Corps - Iraq (MNC-I) and all operational aspects of Operation Iraqi Freedom. There is an artificial lake surrounding the palace that has a special breed of large bass dubbed the Saddam bass, as well as large carp.

Visiting a girls orphanage in Kabul in 2011. Though I wanted to take every single one of the girls home, one of the guys told me I should be happy for them. At the orphanage they are at least educated, will learn English, and will probably never have to marry at a young age.

The Green Zone is the most common name for the International Zone of Baghdad. It is a 10 square kilometres area in the Karkh district of central Baghdad, Iraq, that was the governmental center of the Coalition Provisional Authority and remains the center of the international presence in the city.
In one of the many trips to Iraq, this is the second attempt at getting out of Bagdad. The flight crew was kind enough to let me ride upfront, and snap a picture before departing.
